So after my second wash I noticed something interesting that other people had mentioned as well. The first thing that I noticed was that the rubber bands were very hard to get out of my hair. Since the rubber bands are so small i also noticed that when I took them out I was taking some of my hair out as well. So of course that alarmed me (as always I was freaking out!!) so I decided to take the advice of other sisterlocked ladies and use bigger hair ties. The ones that I bought were at Wal-Mart for about $2. This is what they looked like
So I tried washing my hair with these and I have to say that it worked out really well. It was a lot easier to take them out of my hair and a lot easier to put them in. So I guess I will be using them from now on and I will update you to let you know if they continue to work out for me.

Second Wash
So I have just washed my hair for the second time and I'm so glad to say that non of them slipped out this time. Yay!!! I have some pics of my hair after the wash. I have been locked for almost two weeks now and I absolutely love them!!!
One thing I love about them is that I don't have to style them for them to look nice. I plan to curl them once I get some curlers though I'm not sure how it will look seeing as how I cant use any chemicals. But as soon as I try out some styles I'll be sure to post them...

OH NO SLIPPAGE!!!!!
Okay so I knew that slippage might be a problem for me because my hair is so thin but what I didn't anticipate is that there would be slippage after the first wash. Of course I panicked eve though I knew about slippage and the potential for it to happen. But I texted my consultant and she just reminded me that it is completely normal and nothing to panic over, which calmed me down. I'm not sure how many came out but I know it had to be at least three of them.
Now I know I did the braiding and banding right because I was very meticulous about it. I even got my sister Tammy to help me do it just to make sure they were all tied up. Now I am even more concerned with how long it will take my hair to lock. But I know I just have to be patient and let the locks do their thing.

I'm Finally Sisterlocked!!!!
So as of January 4, 2014 I am officially sisterlocked!!!!! I took a while to get it finished and my consultant Faith really hung in there with me but in the end I absolutely love it. It took about 50 hours in total and I have over 633 locks in my hair. I thought it would be a lot more scalp showing but its actually 10 times better than what I thought it would be.
Locked: December 27- January 4, 2014
Installation Time: 50 + hours
Number of Locks: Approx. 633
Beginning Length: 6-8 inches
Hair Texture: Soft, Curly, Moderate density
As soon as I start doing styles I'll post those on here as well. I have noticed that there are not a lot of video or pics of styles which in the baby lock stage and since I'll probably be in this stage for a while. (Faith thinks it will be about a year before my hair locks :( ) But considering how much I like the my hair now I don't think it will be that hard to wait for them to lock.
So I am officially starting my sisterlock journey and I can't wait to see them grow out and lock.
